These guidelines are not meant to stifle your creativity nor give you a headache. They are to ensure quality content for our users and visitors and hone you as a writer. The guidelines apply to blogs, articles, and any other submitted editorial content. These guidelines are subject to change, and it is your responsibility to stay up to date on them.

1. MUST BE YOUR ORIGINAL WORK: That means no copy and pasting from the public domain, no plagiarism, no ghostwriting, no Private Label Rights (PLR) articles, no advertisements, and no press releases. We want to read what you have to say.

2. MUST BE PET-RELATED: Yeepet.com is a community of pet lovers. Unless otherwise stated, you can safely assume that any assignment or suggested topic is pet-related. For example, if the topic of "How to Survive the Holidays" were assigned to you, that means "How to Survive the Holidays With Your Pets" or "How to Survive the Holidays For Pets."

3. MUST USE CORRECT ENGLISH: This includes spelling, punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, and capitalization. Incorrect usage of the English language reflects poorly on Yeepet.com and your writing. Please proofread before submission. In particular, note these rules from The Chicago Manual of Style for capitalizing blog and article titles:

- Capitalize the first letter in each word but avoid conjunctions and prepositions.

- Nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, and subordinate conjunctions (such as, "than," "because," "if" and "that") are capitalized.

Would I read this? This is a great question to ask yourself before posting a blog. Check out your headline first. Is it so intriguing that if you saw it, you would just have to click and find out more? Be honest and objective with yourself. Move onto the blog. Is it entertaining or informing enough to keep your reader engaged through the whole posting?

1. Short, sweet and concise: Some topics take longer than others, but it is generally better for you to keep it short and sweet. Why? Because many of us have short attention spans and want entertainment and information in bite-size form, not term paper format. We all hated those.

2. Get to the point quickly: Write down steps, tips or advice in the 1-2-3 format or in bullet points and briefly explain what they are. People need to understand what you are talking about quickly.

Block User means you don’t want someone to send you messages or see you online. Once you’ve blocked a registered user, he/she cannot contact you but see you offline even though you’re online. You can block a user from his/her profile page.

6. How do I insert an image in a blog post? How to adjust the image dimension?

You can insert one or more images in a blog post. Here is how:

1. Log into Yeepet.com.

2. Click the Create Blog link on the Blogs page.

3. Click the green Image icon in the html editor of the Description field. This icon is located in the 4th row above the Description box.

4. Click the icon. The Image Properties popup window appears. Click the Upload tab. Upload your image by clicking the Browse button. Then click the Send it to the Server button. Click the green OK button to close the popup window. The image is displayed in the Description.

5. You can adjust the width and length of the image. Click on the image and adjust the dimension by dragging a corner of the image, or click the Image icon in the html editor and adjust the dimention on the popup.

7. How do I sign up with my Facebook account?

You can sign up on yeepet.com with your facebook account. Here is what you need to do:

- Click on the Connect with Facebook button in the Sign In section on the home page or the Log In page. A window pops up, allowing you to enter your Facebook username and password.

- You log in on the popup with your Facebook account, then the page takes you to the registration page on yeepet.com. You fill in the required fields on the registration page. The email address field is automatically showing on this page which is retrieved from your Facebook account.

- You click the Sign Up button at the bottom of the page. The confirmation message is displayed afterwards and you are redirected to the home page and logged in automatically.

You can log out by clicking on the Log Out link at the top of the page. You may sign in again by clicking on the Connect with Facebook button next time.
