What are x-rays and what do they show us? X-rays are high intensity electromagnetic beams that can go right through skin, muscle, fat, and organs…but bounce off of bones. A picture of the body will show images of bones and the shapes of internal organs like the heart, lungs, kidneys, and all the bones.
