Beth Ostrosky Stern, wife of shock jock Howard Stern, is making headlines with a book that she has just written. More of a memoir than an expose, Oh My Dog: How to Choose, Train, Groom, Nurture, Feed and Care for Your New Best Friend highlights the joys of pet ownership and provides valuable information and helpful tips in its impressive 500 pages.
The self-proclaimed “labor of love” took over a year and a half to write and even less time to promote. The author’s name alone piques curiosity. The model turned author first grabbed media attention when she married Stern, “the King of All Media.”
Beth’s love for animals made her the obvious pick for spokesmodel of the non-profit, North Shore Animal League America (NSALA). A portion of the proceeds of Oh My Dog will be donated to the organization. When not tooling around Barnes and Noble promoting her book, Stern is at home writing. Oh My Cat, her second reference guide is currently a work in progress.
